Overview

In the life-threatening circumstances of someone having a cardiac arrest the proven best effective treatment is early defibrillation (shocking) of the heart - and all evidence shows the sooner the better. Therefore the best chance of survival to anyone is that of a trained defibrillator operator. The Automated External Defibrillation (AED) is well established as a safe & simple device, and is swift in application.

Automatic Defibrillator use and safety - we have an enviable experience of actual use and training in this exciting and worthy field and will provide the highest confidence, competence and operator safety from this course. Our course is designed for persons holding at least a basic first aid qualification, such as the EFAW and is delivered as thorough half-day covering understanding of the required theory and this is then reinforced with lots of practice and mentoring from the trainer.

This is an informative and enjoyable course, thus allowing the students to develop confidence and ability in this possibly daunting new skill. We give support with training, protocols, purchasing and future needs to all our AED customers. The skills and training conform to the current Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines.

Qualification Information

Certification of safe and effective practice is issued at the end of the course for each candidate passing the practical assessment scenario and brief assessment paper (MCQ). The qualification is valid for a full year; where upon repeat of the full course is required.
